Description
The CO Experts 1070 is the most sensitive CO detector you can buy for a reasonable price.  Because of its high sensitivity and low alarm threshold, however, we do not recommend this product for use in environments where CO levels of 10 PPM or more are routinely encountered. (Nor do we recommend spending any more time in such environments than absolutely necessary!) CO Experts Model 1070Low-Level CO Monitor The CO Experts Model 1070 displays exact CO concentrations in PPM for values from 10 to 70 PPM, with display accuracy within 1 PPM. Concentrations above 70 PPM are shown as "HI." For concentrations below 10 PPM, the display remains blank. The display is updated every 10 seconds -- much more rapidly than any other CO detector we've tested -- and this is extremely helpful when troubleshooting CO problems, since you can try opening or closing vents or windows, or moving the detector from one location to another, and see the effect almost instantly on the digital readout. Five Alarm Levels 10 PPM Immediate Visual Alert - Flashing Red LED Light 25 PPM Visual and Audible - 2 Beeps a minute 35 PPM Visual and Audible - 2 Beeps every 10 seconds 50 PPM Visual and Audible - 2 Beeps every 6 seconds 70 PPM Visual and Audible - 4 Beeps every 6 seconds **Visual alert is a flashing red LED light, the audible alert is a 85dB horn** Hush Feature and Memory Recall The front-mounted button performs two functions. If pressed for 3-4 seconds while the unit is alarming, the button will silence ("hush") the alarm for a period of time that depends on the CO concentration (see table below). 25 PPM HUSH for up to 60 minutes 35 PPM HUSH for up to 60 minutes 50 PPM HUSH for up to 60 minutes 70 PPM HUSH for up to 4 minutes At other times, the button activates a memory recall (peak level, how long ago, duration, and COHb%) and a self-test (red LED and horn). Pressing and holding the button for more than 6 seconds clears the memory. An extensive "fail-safe" design monitors the sensor, electronics and battery. Any detected failure results in a single "chirp" of the audible alarm and a single flash of the red LED once a minute, with the error condition indicated on the LCD display. Possible indications are "BAT" for low-battery, "ERR" for a failure of the electronics, and "SENSOR END" for a sensor failure (or end-of-life). The CO sensor should last for several years under normal conditions. Because of its extreme sensitivity and accuracy, the standard manufacturer's warranty on this unit is only one year. This unit is not U.L. approved as it monitors CO levels below the standard 30 PMM
