The full size table [measures 84 3/4 " long, 42 3/4" wide, 1 1/2" thick] and is of solid marble with inlaid onyx. Supported by two sculptured pedestals [each 30 1/4" by 15" by 8"] and a center floor base [40" by 15" by 3 3/4"] also of the same solid marble and with inlaid onyx as is the table. The ocean wave-like translucent ripples on the marble, a feature unique to this stone, was created by nature and brought to its smooth translucent polish by expert craftsmanship. There are NO cracks on any part of the table or on any of the chairs. The chairs are of solid hard woods, richly upholstered and contain an inlaid marble section cut from the same stone block as the table. This original work was commissioned to Puccio European Marble Works of New York, cir 1997, with strict adherence to old-world values and craftsmanship along with the wealth of their 50+ years experience and expertise in the realm of custom design, fabrication and sculpting of fine Italian stone.
