THIS TABLE IS THE ULTIMATE CONVERSATION PIECE! I have recently lowered the auction price as we need to see it into a home within a tighter timeframe.ASK ME FOR BETTER PICTURESThis remarkable work of art was commissioned by an art dealer in the United States in 2007. This one-off, pietra dure masterpiece was skillfully executed with no less than 1200 hours of coveted inlay craftsmanship by a group of artisans that descend from the craftsmen of the Taj Mahal in India. The finish is seamless!The complicated, interlaced framework of the Venetian design motif is enriched with 10 different types of marble and 3 different semi-precious gemstones: lapis lazuli, onyx, and jasper. Venetian masks are mirrored across the long dimension of the table. The dimensions of the table are 6'x42"x1.5". Approximate weight is 500 lbs.The value was determined by an art dealer based out of Vero Beach whom evaluated the design integrity, craftsmanship, quantity and quality of semi-precious gemstones, and the condition of the table itself. The caliber of design seen in this table is second to none.It has recently been professionally polished as illustrated in the picture below and is in beautiful condition. This is not a micro mosaic, this is pietra dure, the most coveted stone inlay technique to emerge from the Italian Renaissance. One can search long and hard, and will not find another table like this. (We've tried) The exquisite beauty of this piece is not appreciable in a photograph. Up close and personal, the compositional quality and beauty of this tables particular stonework is truly magnificent and timeless.
