Pinus Thunbergiana. Old, fieldgrown, pre-ban Japanese import. Stands 15" tall from soil, with an 18" by 15" canopy. 3+" trunk caliper above the base. 4.5" base. This tree is well made with a nice trunk line, excellent taper, good branch placement and well ramified branching.  The needles are short, green and healthy.  Potted in a 11"x8"x3.25" very good quality Japanese pot. The branches are aged, thick and established with good development.  There is some wire to remove.  The apex is clean and tapered perfectly, yet still capable of being shortened or bent to adjust the angle. This tree is very healthy, with compact growth.  It is an ideal Japanese Black Pine and you will absolutely love owning it. Check out my other items!
